I’ve been looking at a number of schools that offer online masters degrees. I look at University of Phoenix, Capella, Harvard extension school, and Stanford. Capella offers a number of degrees but they are pretty pricey. I’ve also seen a number of reviews that seem to indicate the quality of education was less than stellar. Of course that depends on the teacher — I’ve seen some situations where someone said they complained and the teacher was immediately replaced. Still I do not take the risk. University of Phoenix has been around for quite a while, but they don’t seem to have the best reviews either. The Harvard extension school looks like the best choice. As far as name recognition goes they blow Capella and University of Phoenix out of the water. I like the idea of taking classes from the same teacher to teach at Harvard College. Price wise they’re less expensive than Papa and I think they’re less expensive than University of Phoenix as well.
