Stomach Fat… Eww
Is there anything more disgusting than Stomach Fat? Of all the fat I like to eat, belly fat ranks amongst my least desired. Pork rinds fried from the fresh skin of a golden hog have a wonderful unique taste, a splendid crisp and satisfying crunch. The slippery joy of the fat from a thigh, cooked in its own juices has a texture, not unlike calamari, and is only better under a dollop of whole mayonnaise. Yet, if you take belly fat, and make it into a soup, or a stew, there really is no saving it. The belly is the most bland offering for fat, and should be avoided at all costs, even if it means having to cook leftover ham hocks for a meal.
