Detailing the Titanic Conspiracy Theory
Titanic sank in the Atlantic Ocean in 1912. More than 1,500 passengers and crew lost their lives. These are the facts. Simple, right? Not so much.
The Titanic conspiracy theory is simple and straightforward- the government helped sink the steamboat then covered it up. What’s more, the only (recently deceased) survivors claim to have been too young to accurately remember the event that occurred on April 12.
The theory starts with author Morgan Robertson. Robertson wrote a book in 1898 in which a ship called Titan collided with an iceberg and sank.
Second, some of the world’s wealthiest and most famous people went down with the ship, yet there were no videos taken by anyone.
Third, it is the scientific view that when ice collides with metal, ice will lose.
Lastly, Titanic’s sinking happened exactly 47 years to the day after Abraham Lincoln’s death. The ship had the capacity to carry 3,547 passengers. We’re starting to see a pattern.
In other Titanic conspiracy theories, some people will go as far as to say that the word Titanic, with the letters t, i and t removed, leaves a, n, i and c. These four leftover letters are part of the word conspiracy.
