Baby modeling while a lucrative field can be ripe for scamming the unfortunate parents who attempt to enter the field without doing their own research. Generally speaking, a good baby modeling agency is not going to be found listed in the local directory. It takes networking with other parents and parent groups already involved in the field to get the real low down on which agencies are honest and will assist the young model in obtaining legitimate work. Parents need to be alert for scam artists that will demand payment up front only for the promise of work and then never come across with any real contracts. Parents star struck with the idea of their precious little one becoming famous are perfect targets for the greedy and unscrupulous. Without due diligence it is all too easy to walk into an illegitimate agency and be taken for the proverbial ride to the poor house.
