My friend recently acquired guardianship of her three grandchildren when their parents were killed in a car accident. She has a very close relationship with all three, so while there were adjustments that needed to be made, it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. She did have to go from being the doting spoiling grandmother to the disciplinarian though, which was her hardest task. She asked her preacher for some parenting tips and he told her that she is a pro at it already. He explained how her own children grew up and became successful happy people who had their priorities right. He told her to just go with her instincts, since she obviously has some good ones! So that’s what she has done and, so far, she’s batting a hundred!
