Advantages of Using Electrical Fuses
We recently purchased an old Victorian home with plans to renovate and return it to its former glory. This is going to be an ongoing project that will probably take several years to complete, but my wife and I enjoy remodeling and redecorating so this will be more fun than work. We plan on doing the majority of the work ourselves, but will have to hire professionals to do the plumbing and rewiring. The fuse box in the basement needs to be replaced and I am trying to decide whether to replace it with a breaker box or stick with electrical fuses. Electrical fuses have several advantages over breakers. They are cheaper and require less maintenance but offer the same level of protection. This is something I will have to discuss with the electrician before making a final decision.
