Candelabras for Collectors

My cousin introduced me to candelabras last week.  She is an interior designer with a candelabra collection of over a hundred pieces, which she has painstakingly chosen, piece by piece over the years.  After seeing her collection, I got inspired to start my own.  So I started going over sites on the internet trying to find my first purchase.  I wanted it to be special.  I guess being picky led me to this site that sold deer antler candelabras.  I was drawn to the beautifully handcrafted pieces and was equally relieved to know that no deer was maltreated for its antlers.  I found my first piece!

We Want Wedding Photographers Phoenix Arizona

My husband and I have been planning our 50th wedding anniversary.  For this special golden anniversary, we plan to actually have a ceremony where we renew our vows, followed by a fantastic big celebration!  We want to get one of the really good and highly reputable Wedding Photographers Phoenix Arizona.  I have spoken to a few of my friends about what they thought, and interestingly I have heard the identical recommendation four different times from just as many people!  I think I am going to take a look at the Internet and see the website where all the details can be found!

Wanna Learn to Play the Blues?

I love the blues. Whenever I feel stressed (which is often) I put on something bluesy and close my eyes and let it soothe my soul. A few months back I decided to learn to play the guitar so I began looking around for some good inexpensive lessons. I wanted to learn the blues specifically so most places didn’t offer that specific type of lesson. I decided to try online and found a site offering blues guitar lessons and almost any other music style you could want. Their lessons are done by video online and are awesome. They take you right from square one to wherever you want to go. I’m learning faster than I thought and will probably try country guitar lessons next.

No More Coloring Books

I never like buying coloring books.  Every time I went to buy a coloring book I could never find what I wanted, plus if I ever wanted just one page to color I had to buy the whole book and it was usually filled with pages that I did not want to color.  My favorite thing to color has always been flowers and their selection of Flower Coloring Pages was amazing!  It just seemed like a total waste to buy an entire book just to color one page.  Than one day while browsing the web I found a site www.freeprintablecoloringpages.net, they had a great selection of coloring pages that I could download and print for free.

Whatever way you choose, have fun learning to play piano. Nothing can be compared to hearing yourself play your very first song.

Podcasts on the Deck

I’m out on the deck this afternoon with a cold brew, listening to some of my favorite podcasts. Off The Wall from Hacker Quarterly is on now. It always gets me riled up. Lots of good rants about politics and the news.

Also, I’ve got the New York Times Front Page and several things from New Yorker Magazine queued up as well. I guess that’s not the typical thing most people listen to, but I really enjoy the intellectual stimulation.

I might actually start an audiobook before long here. I usually like to read, but lately I’ve been so beat at the end of the work day that I can’t seem to focus. The audiobook I could do while I’m on the road. Help pass the miles between stops.

Happy to be off and enjoying the afternoon today though.

Formaldehyde In Your Home

Formaldehyde is a colorless gas compound (HCHO) that is known as a carcinogen, meaning that it causes cancer. It is an allergen that can also irritate your eyes, mucous membranes and the upper respiratory system. It can also cause headaches, rashes, hives (blistery, white, and itchy), dizziness, nausea, and chronic fatigue. Some other symptoms include: heart palpitations, ear infections, trouble sleeping, memory loss, trouble focusing, depression, cosmetic skin care product weakness, migraines, abdominal pain, aching joints and muscles, and difficulty breathing. Formaldehyde can be found in hundreds of products, including cosmetics, paper, wood and clothes. Simply touching those products, or just breathing the formaldehyde they release into the air, can cause intense symptoms.

Get Miley Cyrus backstage passes without paying a small fortune

If you have a young daughter, you know that a dream come true for her would be to get Miley Cyrus backstage passes for her next concert.  It’s not an impossible dream anymore because there are ways you can get them without paying a small fortune to have them.  I was able to get four passes for the last concert and all I did was write a few letters.  The secret is all in learning who to approach.  You just need to learn who has the authority to get passes and what to say.  The worse thing you can hear is no, so it’s worth a try.

Page boys and ringbearers 2

In a formal wedding, the ring bearer is a special page who carries the wedding rings for the bridal party. This is almost always symbolic, with the ring bearer carrying a large white satin pillow on which imitation rings are sewn, while the real wedding bands are kept in the safekeeping of the best man. If the real rings are used, they are tacked on with thread to prevent their accidental loss. The ringbearer as a separate role is a relatively modern innovation. In a white wedding ceremony, the best man carries the rings. Ring bearers are often nephews or young brothers and are generally in the same age range as flower girls, which is to say that they are no younger than about 5 nor older than 10. If the bride and groom have had children prior to marriage, their own child(ren) may serve as ring bearer.
