I Found a Silver Lining
There is never anything great about losing a family member. Even if you expect it, the emotions that accompany the event are completely overwhelming. When my grandparents passed, I really didn’t expect to feel such a loss, as we had never lived near them and weren’t particularly close. However, it hit me anyways. I was glad that I had things planned and was able to make the trip without a lot of cost because I had saved Discover rewards miles. It was nice to be able to go through the day and work out how I felt. I also loved spending time with family. If there’s ever a silver lining, that is is.
